Waypoint location data available in GPX format for download to Garmin ETREX GPS receivers. The data is organized by sectional chart region for all airports with sub directories separating the public from private airfields. VOR location files are organized by state. Each airport or VOR has it's own file.
Choose the files for your regions of interest from the dataset and copy to your GPS receiver's GPX directory via USB.
My experience show that data for several sectionals and states could be loaded into the device memory. There is 8MB of user memory in the ETREX 10.
Having no experience with other receivers, I cannot state how to load the data. I am confident that it can be done as the GPX format is an industry standard.
